Beginner and social tennis

No experience, no gear, no judgement. A group session is the simplest way to find out whether tennis is your thing.

This is an enquiry, not a confirmed booking. Please call (07) 3200 5143 to confirm your request. Nothing to pay online.

The easy first step

If the idea of a tennis club makes you picture whites, ladders and people who take it very seriously — relax. Group sessions are the club at its friendliest: a coach, a bucket of balls, and a handful of people who mostly haven’t played much either. You’ll hit more balls in one session than in a year of thinking about it. Nobody keeps score. The only thing anyone measures is whether you want to come back next week — and that’s the whole test.

What a session looks like

You arrive, get pointed at your group, and borrow a racquet if you need one. A short warm-up that’s secretly a game. Then the middle of the session is hitting — lots of it, fed at a pace you can actually get a racquet on. The last stretch is usually a team game with a lot of laughing in it. Wednesday social tennis runs from 7–9pm and costs $25 for the two-hour session.

What to bring

Water, a hat, sun cream and closed-in shoes — joggers are perfect. Call Paul before your first session if you need to borrow a racquet.
